44 students from Dinajpur Govt College secure medical admission

Forty-four students from Dinajpur Government College have secured admission to government medical and dental colleges this year. College authorities shared this information following the announcement of results for the 2025-26 academic session's government and private medical college admission test on Sunday (14 December) evening.
Students who secured admission are:

Md Abdul Momen, assistant professor of the English Department at Dinajpur Government College, said students from the higher secondary section of Dinajpur Government College secure admission to the country's renowned universities, including medical colleges and BUET, in maximum numbers every year.
He further said 44 meritorious students have secured admission in the medical admission test this year according to information received so far. However, it will take us a few more days to get complete information.
According to college sources, more than 50 students from this traditional college in northern Bangladesh secure admission to medical colleges every year, and sometimes rank at the top of the merit list. In the 2024-2025 session, 53 students from the college secured admission, and Fayaz, a meritorious student from this college, secured 4th position nationwide. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 54 students secured medical admission. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 73 students secured medical admission. Earlier, 32 students secured admission to BUET, including the first position.
Additionally, the HSC examination results published in 2024 revealed that 336 out of 458 participants in the science group, 89 in the humanities group, and 10 students in the business education group obtained GPA-5. Out of a total of 827 examinees from the college, 806 passed, 10 were absent, and 21 failed.
Md Delowar Hossain, general secretary of the teachers' council at Dinajpur Government College, told The Daily Campus that they have taken some effective measures for higher secondary students, and educational activities are running smoothly under the leadership of the principal with many plans ahead to make students more interested in studies and make them contemporary, and meritorious students from among the students are securing admission to BUET, medical colleges, and various universities after completing their education and are able to engage themselves in the service of the country as in the past.
Dr Babul Hossain, supervisor of the higher secondary section, said when information on all those who secured medical admission this year is received, they will be congratulated and care will be taken for the next batches following their guidance.
Professor Md Lutfor Rahman, principal of the college, said over a hundred teachers of the college recruited through BCS are extremely qualified and skilled, possessing excellent teaching skills. He said, Inshallah, they will take all necessary steps to maintain this trend of success through coordination among guardians, students, and honourable teachers, as well as to make students focus more on studies.
