Rajshahi University receives 272,625 applications for 2025-26 session

A total of 272,625 students have applied for the first-year honours admission tests at Rajshahi University (RU) for the 2025-26 academic session.

The application window closed on 7 December at 11:59 pm, Professor Md Saiful Islam, director of the university’s ICT Centre, confirmed to The Daily Campus on Tuesday (9 December).

Applications began on 20 November at 12 noon.

Unit-wise breakdown:

  • ‘A’ Unit (Humanities): 111,514 applications
  • ‘B’ Unit (Business): 30,886 applications (18,452 from business background, 12,434 from non-business)
  • ‘C’ Unit (Science): 126,225 applications (120,838 from science background, 5,387 from non-science)

This year’s admission tests will begin with the ‘C’ Unit (Science) on 16 January, followed by the ‘A’ Unit (Humanities) on 17 January and the ‘B’ Unit (Business) on 24 January.

There will be no preliminary selection round. Tests will be held in two shifts (11 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 4 pm) at public university campuses in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur and Barishal divisions.
