The proposal for November salaries of over 3.5 lakh teachers and employees in non-government schools and colleges will be sent to the Ministry of Education next week, as the deadline for MPO bill submission ends today.

An official from the Education Management Information System (EMIS) cell of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) confirmed the matter to The Daily Campus on Thursday morning (27 November).

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “Institutions have nearly completed submitting November bills. Since Thursday is also a submission day, we cannot send the proposal this week. We will dispatch it to the ministry early next week.”

It is learnt that institution heads submit monthly salary proposals. After online bill verification and approval, the funds are released in coordination with the Finance Ministry. Upon final clearance, salaries and allowances are credited to bank accounts.

It may be mentioned that the government has introduced a digital bill submission and approval process to ensure timely and transparent disbursement of salaries to MPO-listed teachers and employees. This has made the entire procedure faster and more accountable.
