The 2023 Masters Final Year (Last Part) examination under National University is likely to be held after the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, a reliable source of the university has revealed.
Talking to The Daily Campus on Sunday (16 November), an official of the National University Controller of Examinations office disclosed the information.
He said the form fill-up for the 2023 Masters examination is yet to be completed. Normally, the National University holds examinations three months after the completion of form fill-up. However, due to the national election scheduled in February next, it will not be possible to take the exam before the polls, the official added.
The same official further said Ramadan is expected to begin in February immediately after the election. Teachers are usually reluctant to perform invigilation duty in exam halls while observing roza (fasting). Considering all these factors, there is no possibility of holding the Masters final examination before Eid-ul-Fitr. As a result, the university authorities are now thinking of organising the exam right after Eid, he informed.
Meanwhile, National University has published the results of the 4th year honours examinations. However, until the Masters final year examination is completed, the admission process for Masters programme for these students will not begin, the university authorities confirmed.
Earlier, a notification signed by National University Controller of Examinations Md Enamul Karim was issued publishing the schedule of in-course examinations for the 2023 Masters Last Part. According to the notification, the first in-course examination will be held between 24 September and 15 October 2025, while the second in-course examination will be taken from 18 November to 11 December 2025.
