Hamza Choudhury Named Robi Axiata Brand Ambassador

Hamza Choudhury, star midfielder of the Bangladesh national football team and England’s Leicester City, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Robi Axiata PLC. The announcement was made at a press conference held at Robi’s corporate office in the capital on Tuesday (November 11).

Present at the event were Robi Managing Director & CEO Ziad Shatara, Hamza Choudhury, Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Officer Shahed Alam, and others.

Hamza rose through Leicester City’s academy and made his English Premier League debut in 2017 against Tottenham Hotspur. He was part of Leicester’s FA Cup-winning squad. During the 2024-25 season, he also played on loan for Sheffield United.

He is the first footballer with English Premier League experience to represent Bangladesh. Hamza made his national team debut in March this year. His recent performances have sparked fresh enthusiasm among the team and football fans across the country.

Born in 1997 in Leicestershire, UK, Hamza’s family roots trace back to Bahubal in Habiganj, Sylhet division of Bangladesh.
