Identity Revealed of Man Shot Dead in Front of Dhaka National Medical College

The identity of the man shot dead in front of Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital in Sutrapur has been established. The victim is Tariq Saif Mamun (52), a resident of Lakshmipur Sadar. The shooting occurred around 11:00am today, Monday, when miscreants opened fire and fled, leaving him critically wounded.
Mamun, son of SM Iqbal, hailed from Mubarak Colony in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a dying state and was declared dead at around 11:45am after doctors' examination.
His acquaintance Faizul Haq Apu, who identified the body, received a call from Mamun's phone around 11:00am informing him of the incident. He rushed from Kakrail to Dhaka Medical to confirm the identity.
Apu said, "Mamun was a businessman. We met in Gazipur earlier."
Ward Master Mahibullah of Dhaka National Medical said, "Around 11:00am, we heard gunfire. Moments later, we saw the bloodied man lying on the road in front of the main gate. We immediately rescued him and brought him to our hospital. His condition worsened, so we rushed him to Dhaka Medical, where doctors declared him dead after checks."
Dhaka Medical Police Camp's In-Charge Md. Faruk confirmed the death via medical report.
Police have launched an investigation to hunt the culprits. No motive has been established yet.
