The notification for the 50th BCS exam, originally slated for this week, is unlikely to be published immediately. However, it will be announced shortly, with the Public Administration Ministry requesting around 2,800 posts.

A Public Administration Ministry source told The Daily Campus on Wednesday, "We've sent a demand for about 2,800 posts to PSC, including over 1,700 cadre positions and 1,000 non-cadre. The non-cadre number may adjust."

A PSC official said, "The 50th BCS notification was planned for this week, but verifying non-cadre posts delays it. We're aiming for next week."

PSC has revised BCS fees, oral marks, and total scores. A December 11, 2024, gazette lowered application fees to Tk 200 for general candidates (from Tk 700) and Tk 50 for small ethnic, disabled, and third-gender candidates (from Tk 100). The maximum age limit rose to 32 (from 30).

The 47th BCS saw 3,74,747 applicants for 3,487 cadre and 201 non-cadre posts.
