Leaders of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement announce the formation of new student organisation Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatra Sangsad © bdnews24

The National Student Power, revived through the reorganization of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad (BGCS), has formed a four-member central committee. Jahid Ahsan, member-secretary of BGCS, has been appointed president, while Abu Bakar Majumdar, convener of BaGChash, is the general secretary.

The committee includes organizational secretaries Abu Towhid Md. Siam (northern region) and Mahir Alam (southern region).

The announcement was made in a press release signed by General Secretary Abu Bakar Majumdar on Friday. It stated that the central committee of National Student Power was formed through the revival of Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatra Sangsad. The full committee will be announced within seven working days.
