In a groundbreaking move, Shikho, Bangladesh’s leading EdTech platform, has teamed up with Bongo, the country’s top video streaming service, to revolutionize the online learning experience. Announced on 21 May 2025, this partnership aims to enhance video delivery, introduce advanced analytics, and soon enable offline learning for students across Bangladesh. Additionally, Bongo users will enjoy exclusive promotional offers on Shikho’s platform.

Launched in November 2020, Shikho (www.shikho.tech) serves over 350,000 learners across 64 districts, with paying students dedicating over an hour daily to its courses. The platform offers academic content for SSC, HSC, and university entrance exams, and recently acquired Bohubrihi, a professional education platform. Shikho’s mobile app provides animated video lessons, live classes, quizzes, real-time performance tracking, and concise smart notes with key definitions and formulas, making high-quality education affordable and accessible.

Bongo, a streaming giant with over 3 million unique viewers and 200,000 daily users in Bangladesh and 160+ countries, powers platforms like Bioscope (Grameenphone), BongoWal (Walton), and Robi/Airtel TV, alongside its OTT service (www.bongobd.com). Collaborating with 550+ content creators globally, Bongo is expanding its reach through talks with ISPs and device manufacturers. “Partnering with Shikho lets us venture beyond entertainment into education, amplifying content creators’ reach while offering our users exclusive Shikho deals,” said Fayaz Taher, Bongo’s Co-Founder and COO.

Through Bongo’s advanced video solutions, Shikho will enhance streaming quality and gain detailed analytics to optimize content delivery. Plans for offline learning via Wi-Fi hotspot downloads will further ensure students in low-connectivity areas can study at their own pace. “Bongo’s expertise in tackling local streaming challenges, especially in rural areas, allows us to focus on our core mission—delivering top-tier education through technology,” said Shahir Chowdhury, Shikho’s Co-Founder and CEO.

This collaboration marks a bold step toward making high-quality, tech-driven education accessible to all, reshaping after-school learning in Bangladesh.
